When my husband had the opportunity to take a work detail in the White River National Forest near Vail, CO for the Summer we decided to trade in our flip flops for trail shoes. I'm so glad we did! 

I've spent the last few months exploring one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Below are a few of my favorite trails and summits. Some are off the beaten path, but with a little spirit for adventure the time of your life awaits!

Running 100 Miles: The Art of Digging Deep

It's 37 degrees out, and the race gun fires at 4:00 am on Saturday morning. Runners have 30 hours to complete the grueling course, where strict cutoffs are imposed. "Every step of the way you can feel the deadline cutoff time looming". "This race is tough for every single runner, but coming from sea level altitude sickness, technical footing, and climbing were very real challenges to overcome," Robert says.
